Abigail Adams: America’s First Modern Woman

March 26 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Please join us on March 26 at 6:00 P.M. at the Marlborough Public Library on 35 West Main Street where President John Adams will be portrayed by George Baker. Dressed in character he will present the story of his wife, Abigail through a lively and revolutionary conversation with America’s second President. Everyone is invited to this free event hosted by both the Marlborough Historical Society and the Marlboro Public Library.

As the country approaches its 250th anniversary, this is a good way to begin learning more about the traditions of our founding fathers, their values and history.

George Baker has portrayed the character of President John Adams in a one-man show throughout the country at national conventions and venues like Mystic Seaport in Connecticut, the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library in Kansas, the George W. Bush Presidential Library, Texas and many more. A graduate of Columbia College (’69) and Columbia Law School (’73), George practices law in Connecticut
