We’re proud of our arts & culture!

The City of Marlborough holds pride in being one of the most diverse suburbs in Massachusetts, which contributes to a unique presence of arts and culture in the community. The efforts of the Marlborough Cultural Council promote excellence, access, education, and diversity in the arts, humanities and sciences in order to improve the quality of life for Marlborough residents and to contribute to the economic vitality of our community.

All of our annual festivals are traditions that bring residents of our city together. The Food Truck & Arts Festival, only in its second year, was attended by close to 5,000 enthusiastic supporters of artists, music & food! Meanwhile, the Greek Festival has been celebrated for almost two decades.

As part of Mass Cultural Council, Marlborough Cultural Council mission is to promote excellence, access, education and diversity in the arts, humanities and sciences in order to improve residents’ quality of life and the economic vitality of our community.

Marlborough Food Truck & Art Festival

The annual Marlborough Food Truck Festival includes the ARTS! We celebrate the city’s rich culture with interactive art installments, live bands and performances, an artist marketplace and more! Most of Main Street and the surrounding parking lots host the event, which includes touch-a-truck, games and raffles from our local community groups, and beer and cocktail offerings from local breweries and restaurants.

Museum in the Streets

A self-guided historical walking tour through the City of Marlborough curated by the Marlborough Historical Society. The walking tour features a series of 24 informational panels along a 1.6 mile loop in Downtown Marlborough. Each panel contains archived photographs and detailed information about important topics in the city’s history. Visit out local shops and restaurants as you stroll along Main Street.

Marlborough Makers

A collective of volunteers who work to create a networking platform for artists, musicians, writers, craftsmen, and DIY hobbyists in the Marlborough and surrounding Central MA area. The group includes both classically trained artists, as well as residents who are interested in creative hobbies. Their work with local businesses allows for their “Calls for Art” to be inclusive and knock down some of the barriers that artists can face.

Marlborough Public Library

For over 100 years the Marlborough Public Library has served as a center of knowledge for all ages and a hub of community activity. The recent renovation and expansion project ensures this community treasure will continue, by creating a 21st century library that retains the beautiful historic elements of the existing Carnegie building. Reopened in the Fall of 2023!
