DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to welcome back Safe Summer Fun Day this year! This event is a free child-oriented health and safety fair that features hands-on hospital exhibits.\n\nBike helmet fitting tent where trained UMass Memorial Health – Marlborough Hospital caregivers properly fit and give away children’s bicycle helmets.\nObstacle course\nTrackless train\nMusic\nBalloon animal\nGames & Contests\nInflatable axe throwing\n\n• Safe Summer Fun Day is on Saturday\, June 1\, 2024\, from 10am to 2pm. This event is hosted on the Marlborough Hospital campus front lawn and in the parking lot.• Free health related activity books will be available in several languages for our diverse attendees that emphasize the importance of literacy for good health and safety.• Representatives from the fire department will be present with equipment to teach fire safety.• Ambulances will be present so children can climb inside of these vehicles and talk to the health care professionals.• Life Flight\, the medical helicopter will arrive\, and children can look inside this emergency medical vehicle and meet the highly trained physicians\, pilots and nurses who staff it.
